Performance Based Compensation:

WVT is proud to offer a pay scale that rewards you for the work you do and how well you do it! Our driver compensation package is designed to motivate and reward you to work as a team with management to achieve financial success. The Preformance Based Compensation consists of the following four componets:

1) Mileage Pay
2) Accessorial Pay
3) Performance Bonus
4) Benefits

Mileage Pay:

Your driving record will be evaluated quarterly on your anniversary date. As you accumulate accident free miles you will advance in your classification. WVT is committed to the safety and well being of its drivers and the motoring public. A professional driver with a favorable driving record will always be rewarded within the PBC system.

Accessorial Pay

It is important upon arrival to the customer, that the load be properly secured and tarped. WVT is proud to present a professional image upon arrival to our customers. As a driver, you are responsible for maintaining the tarps and securement equipment. WVT hauls various commodities. The more commodities a driver is qualified to secure, the better the opportunity to increase loaded miles which means an increase in your income. Outlined below are the fees paid to secure and tarp commodities utilizing two sizes of tarps:

LARGE TARPS - Fees for using wallboard tarps:
Large tarp fees will be paid when directed to use wallboard tarps (6’6” drops) to secure commodities that require this size and configuration. These commodities may include: lumber, drywall, and rolled paper. The un-tarp fee is earned upon the proper folding, and securing of tarps to the trailer after use.

Untarping fee for large tarps (wallboard)		$12.00

SMALL TARPS - Fees for using steel tarps:
Small tarp fees will be paid when directed to use the smaller tarps (4’ tarps) to secure commodities that require this size and configuration. These commodities may include steel, aluminum ingots, and castings. Small tarps are assigned to each driver individually, and proper care of these tarps is required to earn this fee.

SECUREMENT PAY - for steel and aluminum coils :
Professional verified training is required to properly and safely secure coils. Therefore, the securement fee directly below will be paid for each properly secured load of coiled steel or coiled aluminum.

Performance Bonus

We expect all WVT drivers to operate efficiently and earn a bonus. The Performance Bonus Pool is money set aside to reward you for the safe and efficient operation of your truck. When you have earned a minimum of $10,000 through mileage pay and fees in a 13-week period, 6% of your total earnings will be placed in your bonus pool beginning with your anniversary date.
